Reading this site is not hiring us

This website gives general information about mediation. It is not legal advice, and it can’t tell you what your rights are or what will happen in your matter.

No attorney-client relationship, and no mediation, until you engage us

Reading this site, calling us or sending the contact form does not create an attorney-client relationship, and it does not make anyone at Commonground your mediator. A mediation begins only when each of you signs our written agreement to mediate.

Our role

Our mediators are neutral. They do not represent either person, do not give legal advice to either person, and will not later represent one of you against the other. Each of you is free to consult your own lawyer at any time.

Examples and results

The matters described here, and the quotes, are samples. What one pair or one family reached says nothing about what another will. Every matter turns on the people and the facts.

Details to keep out of the form

Don’t send privileged, sensitive or confidential information through this site or by email before we have agreed to work together. A form is not a private channel, and what you send may not be protected.
